Pittsburgh – Spring Salsa spectacular, hosted by Jeff and Colleen Shirey. This was the 21^st time that they have hosted their biannual salsa event, and they are some of the nicest most genuine people youwill ever meet. We spent the weekend teaching workshops and performingalongside Joe Figueroa and Cristy Kam. I was of course a bit jetlagged from Japan, or was it China?! The workshops were a lot of fun, and Vianette and I were able to debut Latin NY, with the special guest appearance of Jeff’s socks.I don’t know it always happens but I forget one of the 4 essential things to my outfit all the time. Black pants, performance shirt, dance shoes, black socks. Anyway, with the borrowed socks I was then able to perform in full confidence. It was exciting to perform a new number, and this one is fast!
