The video story centers around the classic story of boy meets girl. We shot using the NY/NJ common areas, and began with the love interest preparing to leave the house; makeup, clothes, etc. It was our first video, so we had a few quirky things going on. Notice the girl goes into the elevator, pushes the "up" button and comes out on the first floor. For the dance sequence we went to a Mambo Mamas Social, hosted by Abbey Plotkin. Abbey was gracious in allowing us to play the song twice at the social and we set up the dancers behind Adriel for him to sing along with the playback. I danced with Lily Vasquez, who also appeared on Step-By-Step Volume 5. Lily is a singer, dancer, guitar player, and overall wonderful lady. For the outside scenes, we shot on the Jersey side of the Hudson river, and we were pleasantly surprised with how things came out. There was also a really nice treat from Mother Nature, when two birds flew over Adriel's head at a climactic moment in the song. People ask Jareau and I if it was planned that way, or CGI and we chuckle that we elected not to use CGI for this video, going for a more natural approach. The truth was that it was dumb luck, but we aren't complaining. -sGB for more information on Jareau Almeyda, Creative Mind, visit www.Jareau.com |

Jareau Almeyda called me up one day to say that we were shooting a music video, with Adriel Gonzalez. Most of the concept was laid out, but we still needed to finish up the final sequences with the dancing, and he had a plan to wrap it all up in one weekend. This was our first music video shoot together, and it was an experience to remember...
