| Houston, Texas - JD Evolution dancers and Shaka shine demo | ||||

I'm traditionally pretty timid around kids for some reason, but like dogs I find myself growing more comfortable with time and experience. They learn so fast! I was 22 when I started dancing Salsa, these kids were like 12-15 years old, way ahead of me. I'm looking forward to seeing how they develop. The music used was "Moroccan Mambo" by Bob Desna, a track that I'm always attracted to, having first heard DJ Wily, play it in Paris. The sequence was a bit challenging, but once I turned and saw that the kids were doing it so well I had more energy to keep going. At the end of the clip I think I'm actually more excited than they were

At the 2007 Houston Salsa Congress, Shaka gave a mens footwork (shines) workshop. JD Evolution Dance company came out and rocked the sequence so well that we had to get a recording of it.
