![]() Tampa Thunder – Hosted by Juan “Tato” Paredes and iMambo.tv.This was the 2nd Annual event that was conceived by Juan and Jareaulast year while I was lost in Europe. This year I was excited to be a part ofthe event that brought central florida together with Miami for a party toremember. The highlight of the weekend was “Project Lightning”, a collaborationperformance that brought together the talents of the weekend instructors. Eachworkshop that was taught was used to make a group choreography. Beginning withJuan’s Bachata class, we segued into Betto’s Afro-Cuban, then grooved toShaka’s cha-cha/boogaloo footwork before Eric Baez’ kicked off the Mambofootwork section. With that kind of opening Ben Cartagenas’ class was ready tocome in strong with the Salsa partnerwork before closing with Cristina andAdrian’s Mambo patterns.
