Damn all of you. Especially Phil, Rick, Willie, Scott, Steve, Miguel and anyone else that helped to spearhead a campaign to make me feel better while I’m in the hospital. You have all made me cry.
\nAs you know now I’m in the hospital with a pretty serious disease, but I want to let you know that I am on the road to recovery. I will be back on the courts!
\nGetting your gifts and messages have been so special, just hearing from people that I didm’ t even know my name. Getting a new KOB with everyones signature, brought tears to my eyes. The fruit basket was perfect, even though my mother stole the cheese!)<\/p>\n
I had cold feet, I asked Scott if he could pick up a pair of socks. He showed up at the hospital with enough socks for me to go camping in the tundra.
\nMiguel’s juices, Stacia’s mango slices, Carolina’s turkey, Rick showing up chicken, Bernie sending chicken. There’s been a lot of chicken actually. I appreciate it all (Boston Market half dark with macaroni, cheesy zucchini is always the perfect gift). But it’s not about the food. Watermelon never made me cry like a baby. It’s seeing the doorway open and instead of it being a nurse coming to take blood, I see Phil and Amie. It’s having the text messages from numbers I don’t know telling me that I am in their thoughts. and to be strong. Every single one has been saved and I read over them repeatedly.
